James Harcup

James Harcup is thrilled to be returning to the Waterfront Playhouse stage for Matilda.  You may recall him from last season’s production of Priscilla as Farrah Fawcett-In and in the ensemble.  He along with the rest of the cast & crew were terribly disappointed that they didn’t get to finish the run due to that pesky pandemic.  It was such a fun production to do, but “Holy Cow” that was a LOT of costume changes!  A full-time resident of Key West, James works as one of the top local drag entertainers hosting the monthly drag brunch show at Mangoes under the stage name “Charlize Angel.”  He’s also a former cast member of the 801 Cabaret, a former Queen Mother and a former cast member of Lips in Fort Lauderdale.  James hails originally from New York City where he received his Bachelor’s degree from NYU.  Before moving to Key West, his last theatrical role was “Lucky” in the original NYU production of Aurand Harris’ “The Orphan Train” in ’97.
