The African Queen (LIVE Radio)

The Award winning Waterfront Playhouse and US1 Radio will present a radio broadcast of The African Queen. Audiences will have 2 chances to see the radio show: 8pm, Thursday July 9 will be a “Dry Run” of the show with tickets $20, and 8pm Saturday July 11 will be the live broadcast with tickets $40. Reservations are not accepted and only 50 tickets will be sold per night on a first come basis.

Local actors Peggy Montgomery and Ross Pipkin will play the characters of Rose and Charlie, played on the screen by Katherine Hepburn and Humphry Bogart. The story is set in 1914, when the two of them become unlikely companions determined to do their bit for the British War effort.
