In 1969, 1776 took the theater world by storm, winning universal raves and the Tony Award for Best Musical.

The gripping and entertaining story dramatizes the efforts of John Adams to persuade his colonial colleagues to vote for American independence. With deep regional divisions and some representatives still clinging to British authority, it wasn’t an easy accomplishment. The dysfunctional dynamics among the political factions still resonate with today’s audiences. We plan to present the production in a concert setting with an orchestra of 8 and a cast of 24. The final scene of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is one of the most thrilling moments in all of musical theater.

Directed by Danny Weathers

1776 is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).  All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com
