Laurie Breakwell

Actor/Singer

Laurie Breakwell has been in Buffalo several times – and both times on The Waterfront Playhouse stage – as Maxine in Stepping Out and as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty. She wishes to clarify that she did not partake in “the full monty,” but merely observed said state of dress, or rather undress. She opened last season at The Red Barn Theatre in A Christmas Survival Guide. She would like to convey how fabulously fortunate she feels for having been involved in a-musical-a-year at The Red Barn since the 2007 season as well as The Key West Pops concert versions of Follies, Pajama Game and A Little Night Music.  In real life she has her own “Wonderboy”, aka Charlie, whom she adores and misses dreadfully as he is off at school. Her real world is on the brink of becoming more real as she will shortly be seeking employment for the first time in decades. In the words of her character Maxine, “Don’t ask me what happened, I might just tell you.”
