John Wells

Actor

John Wells is a 33-year resident of Key West, a native of Virginia and a founding member of The Red Barn Theater.  At the Barn he has appeared in numerous productions, including the leading player in Pippin, Sir in Roar of the Grease Paint…, Johnny in Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. At the Tennessee Williams Theater, John appeared as Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Fagin in Oliver, and Emile DeBecque in South Pacific. At the Waterfront, he was Mr. Cladwell in Urinetown. John has played guitar, clarinet and saxophone in numerous productions. His band, “The John Wells Delegation,” played in the Washington D. C. area for over ten years where he wrote and performed for radio and television productions.
