Murphy Davis

Director

Murphy Davis began his theatre career as an actor in New York and started his first theatre company, Stonehill Theatre Project, finding and producing new plays.  Next, he helped start the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, NY, where he served as Producer and Director of Educational Outreach for eight seasons.

In 2002, he joined Manhattan Theatre Club as Director of Artistic Production.  In 2006, he returned to Bay Street Theatre as Artistic Director, directing productions of The Diary of Anne Frank, The Miracle Worker, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Crucible and many new works.  Last year, after having moved back to Key West, Murphy directed Cock with the Fringe; and next he will be directing Venus In Fur at the Red Barn.
