Mike Benner

Mike Benner is a retired Deputy Inspector General for Audits and
Investigations of the Office of Inspector General, U.S. House of
Representatives. As Deputy, Mike was responsible for overseeing the
information system and performance audits of House operations as
well as investigations of fraud, waste and abuse. Prior to being Deputy,
Mike developed policies governing information technology, quality
assurance and contract management for the House IG.

Mike served on the board of directors for both the International Gay
Rodeo and the Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Associations, 501(c)(4)
organizations that produced rodeos, raising money for LGBTQ+
charities.

Since moving to Key West in 2012, Mike has served on the executive
board of the Tennessee Williams Key West Exhibit, has been treasurer,
assistant treasurer and web site designer on multiple Fantasy Fest
candidate campaigns and volunteered for numerous fundraising
organizations.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of
Public Administration degrees from Penn State University.

During the past 50 years, Mike has dabbled in theater both as a
participant, as an observer and as an enthusiast. In addition, he has
been a supporter of theater in Washington, DC and Key West.
