The Waterfront Playhouse is announcing auditions for their 2013/14 season for the following productions: “Leading Ladies,” “Other Desert Cities,” “Souvenir” and the musical, “Xanadu.” All auditions will be held at the Waterfront Playhouse. Please note that all roles are open, and all performers are paid.

Auditions for “Other Desert Cities” by Jon Robin Baitz will be held on Sunday, May 12^th, 3 to 5. This Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee for Best Play will run January 28 to February 15, 2014. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Looking for 2 men and 3 women.

Auditions for “Leading Ladies” by Ken Ludwig (“Lend Me A Tenor,” “Moon Over Buffalo”) will be held on Monday, May 20^th, 5:00 to 7:00. This hilarious farce will run December 17, 2013 to January 11, 2014. Auditions will be consist of cold readings from the script. Looking for 5 men and 3 women.

Auditions for “Xanadu” (the season musical) will be held on Wednesday, May 22^nd , 5 to 7:30. Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical, “Xanadu” will run March 4 to March 29. Looking for strong singers who move well. Please prepare a brief uptempo rock or pop song. Accompanist will be provided. Looking for 5 women and 4 men.

Auditions for “Souvenir” by Stephen Temperley will be held on Saturday, May 25, 3 to 5. Director Cameron Murray will be looking for an excellent female singer/comedienne in her 40’s to 50’s. Please prepare a brief art song or aria. Accompanist will be provided.
