The Waterfront Playhouse is delighted to present “Some Enchanted Evening”, a glowing musical celebration of the iconic work of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Running December 4–20, this uplifting revue brings together some of the most beloved songs in the American theatre canon—an evening of melody, romance, and storytelling that has shaped generations.
Directed by Artistic Director Patrick New and under the musical direction of Roberta Jacyshyn, this production showcases five exceptional performers:
Jeremy Zoma- Key West
A beloved local favorite, Jeremy last appeared at the Waterfront last season in his celebrated roles as Oliver in “The Angel Next Door” and as the Baker in “Into the Woods”.
Ellen Grace Diehl- New York
A classically trained soprano with roles spanning “Sherwood”, “Oklahoma”, and “Carousel”, Ellen is celebrated for her polished vocals and refined musicality.
Bridget Adams-King- Chicago
Bridget brings Chicago theater flair to Key West, appearing to great acclaim as the Baker’s Wife last season at the Waterfront. Other acclaimed credits include “Big White Fog”, “The Music Man” and “RENT”, each showcasing her powerhouse voice and dynamic stage presence.
Trey Forsyth- Key West
A vibrant local talent, Trey has performed in NYC workshops and regional productions including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “1776” earning praise for his expressive tenor and natural charm.
Cece Donathan- New York
A rising star and recent graduate of Ball State University, Cece broke onto the scene with a memorable regional performance in “Legally Blonde” and a national television spot for Garnier.
In true Waterfront Playhouse fashion, this production blends heartfelt artistry with the unmistakable warmth of our Key West community. "With the theatre located On The Edge of the water as well as most productions chosen and designed to be performed On The Edge of the stage, it seemed like a winning title", said Managing Artistic Director Tom Thayer. Although a few productions, such as the upcoming musical The Rocky Horror Show will have more production value, the majority of productions, such as Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, The Informer, Bash, and Trunk Material 2 are created and designed to be performed simply.
Another difference in On The Edge productions is the time.
