Calling all detection devotees: make tracts to the upcoming Key West Mystery Fest. Savvy sleuths should channel their inner detective and enter the mystery fest short story contest, now in
its second year. It challenges aspiring writers to complete their own ending to a mystery introduction written by Jonathan Woods, “Mr. Magoo and the Stranger” in 500 words or less.

Submissions deadline is May 1. Cash prizes are awarded in two categories. On May 12, finalists will have their works read at The mystery short story breakfast held above Restaurant 245 at The Westin Resort and Marina, overlooking the Key West Harbor. The two winners will have their stories published in Solares Hill. For more information, it’s no mystery: Visit www. waterfrontplayhouse.org or call 294-5025.
