Matt Corey

Sound Designer

Matt Corey is proud to have designed sound and composed original music for 32 productions at GableStage, where he won his first Carbonell award for his sound design work on The Pillowman in 2007. He is also the resident sound designer and composer for Mad Cat Theatre Company, Mosaic Theatre, and The Promethean Theatre in South Florida. Matt earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Bassoon Performance at the University of Miami, and is currently a member of the Boca Raton Symphonia. He also serves as the professor of Bassoon at Florida International University. By day, Matt is the Digital Production Manager at Insight for the Blind Studios in Fort Lauderdale, where he oversees all aspects of the production of 100 Library of Congress “Talking Book” titles each year, for the blind and physically handicapped.
