Tom Murtha

Actor/Singer/Director

Tom has been working in Key West theater since his arrival in town in 1978 and has appeared in over 100 productions.  He has directed several plays at both The Red Barn and Waterfront.  Last year he was seen in The Waterfront’s Glen Garry Glen Ross and in the last 3 years appeared in The Best Man, Equus and Twelve Angry Men, all at The Waterfront.  Tom is also an acting teacher, having run summer acting workshops with Carole Mac Cartee at the Red Barn.  He is currently involved in establishing an acting school at the Barn with the idea of running classes throughout  the year.  Some of hiss favorite roles include  The professor in David Mamet’s Oleanna, Norman in Harwood’s The Dresser,  as well as several musical roles. (He was the world’s oldest Pippin.)
