Trippi is credited for his pioneering work to bring campaigns into the digital age. As National Campaign Manager for Howard Dean’s presidential campaign, Trippi’s vision of using the Internet to connect directly with the campaign’s supporters changed the way all campaigns would be waged going forward. The Atlantic magazine says Trippi’s influence on Democratic Party politics has been profound and lasting. The Royal Society for the Arts named Trippi a Fellow (FRSA) in recognition of his pioneering work using technology to connect people and community.

Trippi currently serves as a senior strategist for several nonprofit and corporate clients, as well as a Senior Adviser to The Lincoln Project, where he is helping build a pro-democracy coalition to take on the authoritarian threat to our democracy. Trippi was named the XPRIZE Bold Innovator for Democracy in 2017.

Throughout his career working for Democrats in several Presidential, Gubernatorial, Senate, and Congressional campaigns, Trippi worked to forge civil discussion, trust, and community across partisan lines. As a co-host of George H.W. Bush’s Conference on the 25th anniversary of his presidency in 2014, Trippi led the conference on the future technological and digital threats to our nation. Trippi has been a Fellow at Yale, the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, and the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics.

Trippi has consulted with a number of leading non-profits and corporations, including the Humane Society of the United States, the American Cancer Society, Best Friends Animal Society, Monster.com, Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, SES Americom, Corning, LabCorp, IBM, Lionsgate Films, Best Buy, and the Baltimore Orioles.

Trippi is the host of the podcast “That Trippi Show” and the author of “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Democracy, the Internet and the Overthrow of Everything,” the story of how his revolutionary use of the Internet combined with an impassioned, contagious desire to overturn politics-as-usual grew into a national grassroots movement – and changed the face of American politics forever. A key figure in several Presidential campaigns, Trippi has served as a political commentator and analyst for MSNBC/NBC, CBS, FOX, and CNN.
